The FLY Story Slam is a storytelling event in Mill Valley produced and hosted by Gary Rudman which takes it’s format from the MOTH where people tell true personal stories based on a theme live in front of an audience without notes.

The events take place once a month at the Boomerang Lounge in Mill Valley (the venue at the back of the old carpet store in Tam Junction) at 256 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941

We are now in our second year with themes which have included: ‘Miracles,’ ‘Out of Bounds,’ ‘Lost,’ ‘Busted’, ‘Disguised, ‘Nick of Time’ ‘Leap of Faith,’ our Valentine’s special show ‘Almost’, ‘Unexpected,’ ‘Choices,’ ‘Bending the Rules,’ ‘Yikes,’ ‘Family Matters’ ‘Shared Experiences,’ ‘Misunderstood,’ ‘Appetites,’ ‘Brave,’ ‘Secrets,’ ‘Connections’ ‘Tipping Point’ ‘Payback’ ‘It’s Complicated’ and a few Story Salads/Storyteller’s Choice (mixed themes)!

Our June show was our two-year Anniversary show!

The next show is Sept 25th and the theme is ‘Wits End.’
